When I upgraded to BW 10, I had problems getting dialogues to size rightly on my desktop computer, and this was the solution. You may get some odd results, but nothing gets broken you can just reset the scaling to something better. Michael, if you're still having this problem, try the View menu, then select Scaling near the bottom of the menu, and experiment with different settings. The menus and tool bars are really small, but the work space looks ok. I have since upgraded to BW 10 and have some odd issues with resolution and sizing.

I had been running BW 9 on Windows 8.1 through parallels on my mac with no issues. But at least they allow you to turn most of the bothersome stuff off. Microsoft has to tailor things to the least computer-literate user. There are just a lot of really wicked people out who get their grins out of trashing other people's computers. I always turn UAC off and make sure I have a solid anti-virus program and do frequent (daily) virus scans. You can control some of it in the Windows Group Policy Editor but it really isn't worth the trouble. But at least I can go back to move data around with a click and drag. And it won't drag data from app to app, as it did before.Įesh.
